Cora: She followed behind Cole as he left the circle. “ Cole?” She called out right behind him.

Cole: Cole spun around at the mention of his name. “Yeah?” He asked trying not to sound surprised. 

Cora:  “ Do you want to dance?” She asked hesitantly. 

Cole: He paused but then smiled, taking her hand and spinning her into him. “When doesn’t Cole Fitzgerald want to dance?” He asked smirking at her. 

Cora: Cora smiled as she spun into him, and then put her hand on his shoulder. She missed this, she missed him. “I have to tell you something.” 

Cole: Cole was trying not to get worried by the statement. “Yeah?” He asked swaying to the music.

Cora: “First, I’m sorry, I never got to say it, but I am, I am so sorry.” She couldn’t look him in the eyes. “I shouldn’t have done what I did, I’m sorry.” 

Cole: Cole just shook his head “It’s okay.” He looked at her again, it didn’t matter now. “It’s okay, really.” He reassured. “What’s second?” 

Cora:"I--" Cora bit on the inside of her cheek, not meeting his eyes. "I'm leaving. Soon-- very soon."

Cole: He instinctively gripped her tighter. "Where are you going? Why?" Cole asked doing his very best to keep his own voice from cracking.

Cora: "Well--uh," Cora blinked, her heart speeding up a little. "First France, for four months... then Atlanta for three... then Croatia for four... then New York... Permanently. I've been cast-- in a few films. So I... I mean I'm going back to that, I guess."

Cole: It hit him then, she wasn't going to California, he was going to be alone. "I'm alone on the West Coast." Which wasn't true, he had Brynn, but he didn't have Ramses, and it now seemed like so much farther. "Are you going to be okay?" He asked, because he wasn't sure if he was.

Cora: Cora opened her mouth to speak, but nothing managed to come out. Instead, she started to cry.

Cole: Cole held her even if tighter if that was possible. "I will love you forever Cora Voss" He whispered into her ear. "Are you going to be okay?" He repeated. " You have to stop with the pills." Cole pleased, he added a silent yes I know. "I'll stop drinking?" He offered his voice cracked, and it was too late tears streamed down his face.

Cora: Cora buried her head in his shoulder, "I love you, too." She didn't have an answer for his question, though. Was she going to be okay? She had no idea. It was a question best left unanswered for now, one that she'd only know how to respond to in a few months. Cora lifted her head back up to look at him. "No, you won't," she said knowingly, letting out a laugh through her tears. It was a sad laugh, but the only thing her mind could think to do.

Cole: Cole laughed with her. "Yes I would, I would for you" He smiled at her, his eyes blurry with tears, as something in him knew this would be the last time he would see his first love, at least for a long time. "I would give it all up, backflips, dangerous driving, starting fights and especially drinking, for you."

Cora: Cora smiled, her hands going up to his face and wiping his tears off his cheeks. She was quiet for a little while, before gently pulling his face towards hers and pressing her lips against his.  

Cole: He wrapped his arms so tightly around her like he was hoping that would make her stay, even the kiss tasted bittersweet, he thought he had more, he thought he had another month to fix them. He tangled his fingers in her hair one last time and hated himself for not knowing how to make the moment stay. "I love you." he whispered into the kiss one more time like it would make a damn bit of difference.
