Gag reflex - I think keeps from swallowing something too big.
An effective way for training some of that gag reflex away is with a soft toothbrush. A soft toothbrush is best for your teeth and probably safer/comfortable for throat brushing.
Read whole basic guide before practice
For this procedure all you need is toothbrush and water (note: no toothpaste). Stand up straight, tilt head back a little (≈30° up from horizon), chin gently forward (may be strenuouse), tongue forward to teeth.
Put the wet soft toothbrush on your tongue (center) and slowly brush toward throat.
When the reflex is strong remove the toothbrush and stop. At this point my mouth fills with saliva which I just send down the drain.
When the reflex is gentle pause for a moment, the reflex may subside. If reflex stays there are 3 options.
Remove, to either rest or stop
Push further, to make stronger reflex
Wiggle toothbrush side to side, to make stronger reflex. This can cause a very quick reflex, be careful.
Some warnings
Repetitive training may cause gag reflex to become more sensitive until rested.
Brushing throat is abrasive and may hurt for a few days.

Additional reflex training with toothbrush - try probbing off center. I found the sides of my throat to be a lot more sensitive to the brush.
If your reflex is trained away a bit or you are brave and you want to feel something weird. Using 2 fingers put them on your tongue and follow your tongue down your throat. I don't want to ruin the surprise though.
Moderate Wound - shallow scrape of skin on my shin (description) (no pic).
I put my weight into the act that took some layers away. I was playing tag, running down the play-structure toward the ladder, I tried to land on the middle bar of the three bar ladder, It did not go as planned. Foot missed the bar completely, but my shin made contact. While the contact was low on my shin my leg was still stretch out and only briused a little. From about half way to close to the top of shin, my leg was bent and I was kind of sitting on it as I slid. The fall from there was slow, so my hands on the tan-bark was fine. The skin was raw, but not bleeding. I layed on the ground for a minute. Youth helped with water and standing up.
Advice nurse told me to apply neosporine 3 times a day and have gause over it to keep dirt and bacteria away. Also she said that if it wasn't improving after 14 days to call back. My being scared of pain I didn't wash it out right away, but I had clean jeans on, when it happened, so I was not too worried about infection.
Now it has been some time, the skin is regrowing, and my leg feels like it is getting saturated with blood from bruising. I will be okay. It has healed enough to be touched gently, but the internal bruising is still painful on and off - mostly when transitioning between sitting/laying and standing. A weird thing to relieve standing pain was to emphasis going up a step with the hurt leg, something about the angle of my foot and knee made the pain sack go away sometimes.
The new skin is a little thick (swollen or overgrown). The bruising is yellow around the wound and widespread. The bruising is green when it flows into my inside heel (standing) (new yesterday).
Flaccid penis appriciation (a grower)
CONTEXT: I've done some training to keep my penis flaccid during stroking stimulation. It has worked a bit, and will stay flaccid for about 15-30 seconds. I also am accustom to gentle grip and light touches.
Something I have noticed about the my penis' underside getting touched ever so bearly and near the penis head - that's where the nerves for pleasure are. While it's stiff those nerves are spread out. When it's flaccid those nerves gather up and gentle touches bring out immensely pleasureable sensations.
I also like being able to stretch my penis and wiggle it about while it's flaccid just a bit of fun.
