FIFIFTAâS BIG CONTRACT CALL
Titans star David Fifita is reportedly âedging closerâ to making a huge decision on his future with both the Raiders and Titans vying for his signature.
According to The Daily Telegraphâs David Riccio, the Gold Coast club have their noses in front of Ricky Stuartâs Raiders.
Riccio also believes that the Titans are hoping to secure Fifitaâs partner, Shaylee Bent, for their NRLW side.
Fifitaâs huge $1.25 million per-season contract is set to run out at the end of the 2023 season and the Raiders were reportedly offering a deal worth around $900,000 per-year.
Despite touring the Raidersâ facilities with Bent, Fifita is set to snub Stuartâs advances and continue under Justin Holbrook.
âIt is edging closer, I would argue that the Titans are the frontrunners here for David Fifitaâs signature, and it is on the basis that the Titans are also attempting to sign his partner in the NRLW competition,â Riccio said on NRL360.
âThe Raiders havenât given up hope, but they are thinking that David is leaning towards the Titans.
âI wouldnât be surprised if David actually plays out a few weeks of the season before making a call whether this year will fell different, and look different as far as the Titans are concerned.
âThe Raiders have had a big swing at him.â
