i also have a labret piercing and basically u get a really long stud when its first done to account for the swelling and you have to be careful of it. but as soon as youre reasonably able to its a good idea to switch that out for a horseshoe barbell or lip ring since you cant accidentally bite the back of that and yank on the piercing! getting it pierced initially doesnt hurt that badly, its just like a very strong pinch.
