Today's Walking Photos: Argh! Sorry, I missed Friday, so I thought I’d treat you to this little taste of throwback Montana pulchritude. Exactly a week ago today I was in Montana after playing a blues festival in Noxon, and a very generous music fan named Mike hosted the band for the night at his home in the neighboring small town of Heron. The next morning I woke up well before my bandmates, and after Mike and I small-talked a bit, he asked if I wanted to take out one of his ATVs for a spin around his property. It was a gorgeous morning and I sure had the time, so I said yes. It ended up being a really cool ride and walk around his extensive acreage, and I took a few pictures with my phone which you see here. The weathered structure is the original farmhouse on his property, built in 1905, I believe he said. What beautiful country – and you should’ve seen the stars in the big Montana sky when we arrived there a bit after midnight. Stunning.

We went for a little boat ride this evening. Water was calm, light breeze. This picture is Beaver Creek off the Noxon Reservoir. Just a calm pretty picture.
