So you know how I've been talking about "Death's Champions" for a few days now? Well, I've always had a headcanon that all gods have their champions and they like to pit their champions against each other for entertainment (they feed off of the things they represent: blood, death, violence, life, plant growth, fire, etc., etc, so these champion fights provide both entertainment and energy).
One of the most popular of these events is MCC; where the god, Noxcite, invites minor gods and champions from every realm to participate in a consequence-free tournament.
There are the givens. Scott is Noxcite’s champion, someone who participates in the games as a show of goodwill. Dream is Dream XD’s (God of Chaos) champion. Phil and Jimmy are Death’s champions (Jimmy thinks he and Lizzie are both champions of The Ocean God, but only Lizzie is), Grian is (or was) a part of The Watchers (a group of minor gods who all group under the name of The Watchers), but he’s still invited because Scott thinks it’s funny. Tommy is Life’s champion (his mother’s champion), Ren and Techno are The Blood God’s champions. Niki is a minor fire goddess/royalty in the nether (it’s complicated).
I want to think Captain Sparklez, Fruitberries, and Illumina are all Champions of the Void (the oldest of the gods, more of an all-consuming entity than a god)
