Sometimes I think the reason why Shiori is obsessed in stories, is because she's hoping she can get back the emotions she lost. I know its not entirely lost and she only became indifferent as coping mechanism to what she experienced. What I meant is she want to be emotional from a story to the point her indifference will break. That's my headcanon lol Also I really love how optimistic Liz in this situation and her strive to save others. The contrast of these two characters in the lore are too good.
