Liam Bailey- 'Fool Boy' (As part of my sound of 2011)
Happy new year and all that jazz! The BBC have announced their Sound of 2011 list, and there's no surprises that the mighty Jessie J came out top. (If you're an avid reader of this blog you'd know I blogged about her waaaay back!) I've decided to give you my personal lowdown on who I think will be big in 2011, and this guy Liam Bailey tops my charts.
The wonderful guys over at Notts Unsigned will be proud, this guy is from my uni home town of Nottingham, and having been an intern for Notts Unsigned last year I know how proud they are to have a Nottingham born artist being played on the ol' airwaves! Liam Bailey has a beautiful voice, just one man and his guitar being the soundtrack to both of his EP's, and this next single 'Fool Boy' shows the raw talent he has to offer.
Signed to Amy Winehouse's record label Lioness Records, Liam is definitely one to watch in 2011, especially since he features on the new Chase and Status single, 'Blind Faith'. If you wanna hear more, check out his cover of Etta James' song 'I'd Rather Go Blind.'
