There were certain students that you just knew would need academic counselling - and not even in a bad way, it was just that you knew they had big goals. Which was odd given that a lot of the kids at this school could get by on their name alone. “Artemis, right on time for the appointment. I’m filling in for Mrs Peters in Law School Advising because she’s on leave right now.” Which was really a kinder way of say that she was terrified of the Director and refused to come to work.

“Well, learn. I refuse to be further embarrassed by your emotional outbursts, Artemis. You’re a black spot on my family’s name without them,” she sneered.
