Well, yesterday was an absolute bust! 3 days into the new project and normal service was resumed with my knitting skills 🤣 I made the same mistake TWICE on the edge rows, purling where they should only be knit. And of course I'd done a few more rows before noticing my error which meant alot of frogging. The day was essentially a whitewash as the time I did get to knit was spent undoing and redoing the progress I'd previously made. Don't get me wrong, it kept me amused, but lord did it also make me angry! To top it all off I then put my little cable needle down and have I found it since? No, no I have not 🤬 I wouldn't mind but this cowl is on 3mm needles and that was the only small cable needle I have. A sign perhaps...
I definitely have these days where I feel absolutely useless at my crafts. I dont think a single project has gone by without an error at some point but I suppose I am human after all. Becoming a knitting robot is a real option in those moments though (must look up if androids are a thing yet...)
Today however my senses seem to have returned. And, even though I still have not found the little cable needle, I'm feeling quite productive I've managed to fit in a good few rows around driving trains (that is indeed my job) and despite my initial trepidation about needing to get the cowl to 150cm long it seems to be growing fairly quickly now! I will say though that my crazy, over-estimating mind had this finished within a week, god bless its optimism 🤣
