Kiryu/Kazama + "I’m lost and I need you to pick me up, no questions asked."
Send me a ship + prompt and I’ll write you a thing
Rolling over with a groan, Kazama reached for his phone, nearly throwing his glass of water off the bedside table in the process. Who on earth could this possibly be? Didn't people know it was indecent to call others at any time later than 11pm? A look at the caller ID told him that no, this person didn't. Or, if he did, he didn't give a shit and part of Kazama told him to follow his lead and just go back to sleep. Whatever Kiryu needed him for at this inhuman hour, it would involve him having to leave his bead.
Against his better judgement, and because he cared way too much to simply ignore the silver-haired man, he answered the call. "Do you know what time it is?" Instead of an answer, the officer received an annoyed sigh and in his mind he could practically see how the other was rolling his golden eyes at him. Knowing that he wouldn't get an actual answer to his question, not that he ever expected one, Kazama waited patiently for a couple of seconds. By now he knew that Kiryu didn't need to be asked why he called, he just told you, whether you wanted to listen or not.
"I don't know where I am and need you to pick me up. Don't ask how it happened, just do it." What followed was a moment of silence. He didn't know where he was. In other words: he was lost. Kazama needed a few seconds to fully process the meaning of those words, but once it hit him he burst into laughter; much to Kiryu's disatisfaction.
"So you're telling me," the officer said after he had more or less regained the ability to breathe. "That the great Kiryu Kyosuke, saviour of Satisfaction Town, who knows the desert like the back of his hand... got himself lost in New Domino City, probably on his way back from a bar? Is that it?" The muffled curses coming from the other end of the line were all he needed to know his theory was correct.
"Stay where you are, I'll be there in about twenty minutes." Instead of replying, Kiryu simply let out a grumpy hum and ended the conversation. Still smiling, Kazama kicked off his blankets and dressed himself as quickly as he could in his still rather sleepy state.
By the time Kazama had found Kiryu's location, the taller duellist seemed utterly annoyed. Understandable, considering it was winter and pretty cold outside. Poor guy must have frozen his ass off. Still, Kazama couldn't help but smile at how his cheeks had turned into all kinds of red from the cold night air. "See, this is why I told you to wear a scarf when you left in the evening."
Without bothering to comment on this remark, Kiryu walked over to his idiotically smiling boyfriend and put his hands around his waist, pulling him closer. "Guess you'll have to warm me up again." And before the other could even think about replying, Kiryu's lips had found their way onto Kazama's. Naturally, he returned the kiss and sneaked his arms up around the taller's neck.
They stood like that for a solid minute; just the two of them under a spot light, kissing and embracing each other. It was truly heart-warming. ... At least until Kazama's eye shot wide open and he let out a sound similiar to that of a pterodactyl. "KIRYU, YOU ASS! GET THOSE ICE CUBES YOU CALL HANDS OUT FROM UNDER MY SHIRT!" Now finially having the upper hand, Kiryu smirked at the shorter man's attempts at getting rid of his suddenly very clingy boyfriend. "That's what you get for laughing at me.~"
