Mike’s Five Point Plan:

1. Never let on how much you like a girl.

2. Always call the shots.

3. Act like wherever you are - that’s the place to be.

4. When ordering food, find out what she wants then order for both of you. It’s a classy move.

5.(MOST IMPORTANT!)  When it comes to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.

But WAIT YOU GUYS!

The next scene shows Mark (aka “Rat”) on his date listening to the song Kashmir which is NOT ON LED ZEPPELIN IV! It is on Physical Graffiti.

Legend has it that Cameron Crowe couldn’t get the rights to anything on LZIV so he had to go with something else and decided on Kashmir.  I love this moment though cause any Zeppelin fan will find it perfectly in character for geeky Mark to eff up and put on the wrong record.
