Very sorry if you've been asked this before and no pressure to answer of course, but I've always been curious (seen you around because mutuals and now notifs) about the story behind your url if there is one....is there?

So "I miss them but it wasn't a disaster" is a line from one of my favourite poems of all time, One Art by Elizabeth Bishop. I loved it for years, I got to study it at school which was also so cool, so when I was making my blog I decided to use the line as something meaningful and also unlikely to be already taken. It is unfortunately long XD but also for me it's about like, the courage to recognize that suffering isn't the end. The whole poem leads up to the loss of a loved one, and it FEELS like a disaster but there's this understanding that it's not, it can't be, in that it is survivable, you can grasp how to do it, a disaster would end you and this won't end you even if it feels like it will. The suffering, the missing of things, it hurts so much but it's not a disaster even if it looks like it. So that's also why it's an important poem and an important line to me - it's about courage.
