hey i’m a freshman in high school and i want to know how to take better notes. i really like your minimalistic layout you use for the notes you post. any tips on how to improve the quality of notes i have and on how to make them look nicer? what sort of must-have supplies do i need? i’m really sort of clueless here. please help.

i drew up a page for some tips on notes and my various note-styles, and i’m going to post that as a picture, so look for that!!
but also, some advice directly for your questions.
you can improve the quality of your notes sometimes by 1, finding a clean note-style that you stick with every time! having the same style will make your notes fit together and look nice! also, 2, you can rewrite them after class if you want! you can take your time when you rewrite them, verses when you’re rushing in class. when i rewrite, i revise as i go and i write reeeeeeally slowly so my handwriting is smooth and neat. and you can add charts and whatnot and make them clean and neat!
the supplies you need are simple- notebook, pen, and highlighters! the quality/price really doesn’t matter i think, as long as you find ones that work for you and that appeal to you! i use muji notebooks and pens and zebra mildliners, but don’t think you need to have those supplies to have good notes!!
also, just a sidenote, i think my notes look so minimalist because my handwriting is very minimalist. you can still achieve minimal notes even if your handwriting is different than mine, so don’t feel like yours are messy if your handwriting is more cursive, loopy, and loose! my handwriting is very tight and straight, if that makes sense? so that may be why! but you can still have minimal notes, don’t worry :’)
so yeah! that’s my advice, really. remember to find the picture of my note layouts and look at that, too!! i hope i helped!!
