Dear Self,
I have faith in you. I know you try hard at everything you do, but you really need to get some confidence. Because you're too shy and I don't like the way you think you suck at everything. I don't like the way that you tell yourself that you're not good enough. I don't like the way that you put yourself down so hard. I hate the way you take the things people say to heart and let them hurt you. That's not fair. You're better than that. I know you are. So tell those stupid monsters that always make you feel like shit to go die in some hole. Tell them to give you back everything they took. Cause I miss the old you.
Self. You have to grow a pair. you have to stand up for yourself...you can't depend on others to defend you. You need to be big, okay? I 'm proud of you for getting this interview. I'm proud of the way that you handled it. I'm SO proud of you for getting into this jazz group, you're going to be amazing with all of your hard work. I'm very proud of your dedcation. I am proud of you. I just thought you should know. :)
Love,
Me.
How can call myself a writer if I can't write? I have absolutly nothing to say. It's been days. There is nothing there. Words, where are you hiding?
~Broken~
The world has been broken into pieces, like when you drop a glass plate on the floor. There is a part of Judaism that I really like calledTikkun Olam.It says basically that the world is broken into pieces and it's our job to put it back together. I'm not religious. Far far from it. But i like the concept of it. Unity and equality.
~Fallen~
I love to walk through graveyards and just lose myself. Imagine ghosts walking amongst the headstones...I wonder who all these stones once were. I know how morbid I sound. But it's so beautiful. There's this silence that you can't find anywhere else, as you tiptoe quietly so as not to wake the dead. They are just sleeping the sleep of eternity.
~Awake~
The feeling of rain soaked streets against bare toes. And the knowledge that there is always hope. Hope...like butterflies. Pretty with no abandon. They flit and fly wherever they please because they are full of freedom. Hope is a light in the dark when you most need it.
That was strange. But I kind of liked writing it...it's one of those days where I am content to just sit in my thoughts and only surface when the rain stops falling.
