it feels crazy to say this as a selfshipper cuz there’s nuance to this but like. let go of the character a little.
in the sense that like, you have to understand that people will simply see things different from your carefully constructed vision and they have a right to exist even if you think they’re crazy and wrong (and they could be! often even!)
but like no one gets to impose on you the same way you can’t impose a view on them. idk it’s balanced
i do think as a selfshipper it should still be okay thinking about The Character outside of the realm of your selfship once in a while
