1) Something this character is truly proud of.

his children, ofc. also, how far dale has come since the dragon.

2) Who they want to please the most.

bardlings. hands down. in a world where barduil happens, also thranduil and leggles. 

4) What they would do if they had one month to live.

honestly? i feel like bard would be the type to not make that much mention of it, and just go on with his life. he’d do what he had to do, make an effort to spend as much time with the people he loves as possible and do everything within his power to make them happy while he can, and that would be that. 

5) A cherished personal belonging.

black arrow ;D no, probably little trinkets from his family. a ring from his wife (wears on a necklace), little trinkets made by his kids. the sword he used in botfa, probably. 

7) This character’s favorite character

i’m not quite sure what this means, but the barduil trash shipper within me says “thranduil”, so we’ll go with that :D

9) What calms them when they are upset.

working. his way of dealing with emotions is to vent them into something productive, imo, and so having something for his hands to do while his mind works out the problem--whether it’s boating, fishing, carving, cleaning, shooting bow and arrows, whatever--i think that’s what helps him the most.

10) How they deal with pain.

emotional pain he deals with same as the above. physical pain i think he tries to write off as “not important” or “not hurting me” until it gets to the point where either it’s serious enough to affect his work or he’s alone and can look at it in private.

11) This character’s favorite piece or pieces of clothing.

that blue-grey coat he wears at the end of botfa. it’s warm, sturdy, practical, and doesn’t actually look too shabby (his other favorite thing--the brown skeepskin coat he wears in DOS, got ruined in the burning of laketown, so)

12) How they sleep.

on his side, back to the wall. 

14) How they did in school

i don’t think he went to school, tbh. but in an au where he did, i expect him to have As, mostly because of his work ethic. (not that i think he’s stupid; i just think a greater part of his personality is focused into working hard at smth, and his particular brand of smarts wouldn’t be the kind tested by schools)

archery, obviously. singing; i also think he’s probably a decent strategist.

in his house, with his three kids and thranduil beside him

darning. he doesn’t know how people do it. or anything with needles, really; he always ends up with multiple poke wounds and bleeding fingers.

meeting his future wife! i think they were a classic young sweethearts couple <3

24) What they wish they could change about themselves

he thinks he’s completely unworthy of being a king, so probably something to that effect.  (i think he’s pretty content with who he is, or at least, he doesn’t give too much thought about could-have-beens)

2. What’s my favourite part of the fic? 

First, Thranduil enduring all that time. I like the idea of him still hanging around. Second, that Bard keeps coming back to him, in one form or another. Third, that it’s a not-so-serious brain break for me.

1. What was my inspiration for this fic? How did it come to me?

you know! i was actually thinking this to myself the other day, but i legitimately have no idea where Soothsayer came from. like, me @ my own brain, what???? chapter 1-8 were done completely without a plan as to what this story was or where it was even going; then i had a two-week vacation where i had minimal access to the internet, so i used that time and planned chapter 9-21, which is where most of the plot is actually going to happen. if i had to guess, i think i would probably say that the idea originated as a kind of “what if thranduil couldn’t lie to bard about what happened to him and why he felt certain things” but???

10. If I had to sum up this fic in a sentence, what would it be?

Hercules: Favourite instrument?Definitely the piano.

Betelgeuse: What’s something you can never forget about?

The velvet-y smooth texture of my horse’s nose and the way my hand fit over the star part of his facial markings. (I sold him before uni because I couldn’t show and study at the same time, but I’ll never forget how it felt to rub his head. It’s burned in my brain and heart forever.)

Aries: Favourite movie? 

I’d love to say something fancy here. But, my first impulse is to say it’s Lilo & Stitch. My second is to say The Secret of Kells. I can’t decide between the two for different reasons. Please don’t make me choose. 

Comet: What’s your big dream?

Saturn: Any Pets: I don’t have any pets with me at college, but my dad has my RottweilerxAustralian cattle dog mix, and his name is Max and he’s a couple of years old now. He’s kind of perfect. And my mom has a little Cockapoo named Maizy and she’s just under a year old. 

And then I’m kitty god-mom to a couple of cats owned by my Moony. 

Deneb: Have you ever been out of your home country? You know, I don’t think going to a resort in Mexico, and going to the Niagara Falls count as leaving the country... I would love to, though. 

Pegasus: Favorite place to be: Oh god, I have a lot of favorite places, and it depends on my mood. Right now I kind of want to be curled up in my bed, but I love being home back in Idaho during the spring. 

Andromeda: Do you consider yourself social: Ah, yes? I consider myself an outgoing introvert; I really like being around people, but I definitely need my moments to myself.
