i did a "Notan" expanded square paper cutout project, which was tedious but a lot of fun. I'm especially proud of the facial proportions, because i just eyeballed whether i thought it would look right after flipped or not, and it turned out better than I'd hoped!

and the third is some in-class practice using charcoal for pretty much the first time. i used both subtractive and additive methods to draw a pepper

realism pieces are almost becoming a comfort to me with how much I'm struggling with my regular art style lately. it feels like something i can fall back on, since it's more objective

but I'm making progress on my style, slowly!

also: this weekend when i visit home from college, I'm finally going to turn my signature into a rubber stamp! I've been hand-drawing it on my pieces, and it sucks. I've had some classmates compliment it, though, and say that they thought it already was a stamp, which is very flattering
