Youāll be removed from active service, Admiral. The goddamn Purple Heart wonāt make up for his pride. William Bell isnāt weak, and so he never acknowledges a time when he was.

Before Oliver, Vir had only been in love with two other people - James Duffy, who he dated from his freshman to his sophomore year at Yale, and Harper Fairchild, who he dated from his junior year of college into the summer.Ā
James was a cute little thing, a Pakistani-American who loved to try and argue with Vir about border disputes and ethnic histories while he just shook his head and went,Ā āFor the last time, I canāt fucking stand politicsā. They broke up when James went abroad and Vir realized he was a little too comfortable in his absence, but they ended on fairly good terms overall.
Harper, however, was a bit more complicated. They never formally dated, although Vir does usually refer to her as his ex-girlfriend. If anything, they were a heated fling, both a little too obsessed with each other as they spent their days writing heartfelt poetry and their nights falling into bed together whenever they could. Vir was certain they were the stuff great romances were made of, that theyād be this passionately in love forever, that he saw a future in her ā until she left. She stopped answering his calls suddenly one day, and when he went by her apartment to check on her, she was gone altogether. He hasnāt heard from her since, and quite frankly, heās not sure what he would do if he did.Ā

Send a š« and Iāll write four headcanons I have about our museās relationship.
1. Heās got a lot of respect for people that know what the fuck theyāre doing in their work, so needless to say he holds Alexander Ward on a fairly high pedastal. Heās been consistent in his rhetoric that experience doesnāt necessarily equal competence, but in Alexanderās case, heās willing to admit that years in the field has made him pretty damn good.
2. He knows that high-level government positions like Alexanderās arenāt allowed to have political opinions, but that doesnāt stop him from harassing Alexander about his political thought. āAlright,ā heās said before,Ā āif you wonāt tell me, Iāll just assume youāre Clifford the Big Red Commie. Long live Lenin.ā
3.Ā Vir - being the former Russian Literature major that he is - once bet Oliver that he couldnāt go a month of trying to read as much Tolstoy as Vir had to read in a week. During the month, Oliver asked Alex in passing if heād ever read any Russian before, to which Alex shook his head with an apology.
4. Oliver has referenced waterboarding in front of Alex on more than one occasion, hoping heāll slip and reveal if the US is really still doing it after the CIA issued that statement saying they could neither confirm or deny if they are. So far heās gotten nothing.

Honestly, Iām not sure that Will would care all that much - at least he wouldnāt be bothered by it. He likes Henry as a rule, and while heās probably not really a stellar ally and does the bare minimum by being like āhey, I donāt hate youā, he probably doesnāt outright care if people are gay.Ā
