The Study Abroad Office: Please describe how your condition affects your performance inside and outside of school.

Me: Well, sometimes I get sick, and would like to take penicillin, but then I remember I can't, so I take something else.

The Study Abroad Office: Are there some areas that aren't impacted?

Me: Yes, all of them. All of the areas are not impacted.

The Study Abroad Office: What medical intervention has helped manage the condition?

Me: This one time, I took penicillin, and broke out in hives, from which my doctor and I inferred that I was allergic to penicillin. He then told me to stop taking penicillin. I agreed with him and stopped, and have not broken out in hives since that time.

The Study Abroad Office: Have you ever felt limited by your condition?

Me: Well, sometimes I have this passionate, burning, desire to take penicillin when I'm sick, but then I remember that I can't, and I ask for something else.

The Study Abroad Office: Did you receive any accommodations?

Me: Yes, antibiotics that were not penicillin.
