(reply was too long so puttin it here !) i started with new vegas b/c i've been to vegas A Lot and the mojave is my backyard, and it's my favorite so far. i've played some of 3 and i own 4, and from what i know of those some of the character/settings are the same, so i'm waiting to play 4 until i finish 3. i've never played the first two, so i have no advice for those? but personally, i'd suggest starting with new vegas!
