I think one of the worst things about GenAi is how it’s being used. Like this thing literally excels at writing emails, editing formal documents with rigorous predictable structure. It’s great at taking the busy work that computers couldn’t usually do without a very specifically made NLP algorithm like sifting through documents or writing automated emails.
But instead it’s being marketed for what I would argue is it’s worst skill. Like taking out the ethics of just plagiarism from the learning on creative writing and art, like it’s objectively never going to be interesting. It can replicate, or combine human ideas but it’s not a sentiment thing, just a very powerful predictor. It will never draw on unique experiences, it can never actually generate a truly original concept or technique it hasn’t gotten from somewhere else. Which is fine for the equivalent of shovelware tv but there can be no real innovation by it. It cannot progress and learn the way we do and make moving art.
Like if anything the GenAi is most equipped to take those upper management jobs away, writing predictive emails, speeches from lower workers decks and research, and staying inside squeaky corporate lines with language. But instead those guys are pitching that they should replace creative jobs, it’s very …. Interesting
Hello!!! I had a question! For Pearl, what made you choose circle of the shepherd over circle of stars? I love your final choice but it would have been a hard one for me to make so I was curious:)
I made her Circle of the Shepherd over Circle of Stars because I think the abilities Shepherd gives fits her more thematically this season. Pearl was known for Padllama Co. and all her pets! I think it makes more sense that she would be able to summon fey creatures, rather than just cosmic-themed abilities.
Besides, the nice thing about D&D is that you can always reflavour your abilities, so in my head, all of Pearl's fey summons would look like constellations and little cosmic fey creatures!
MALEVOLENT 52 OUT
Oh wow, John is consistently saying Arthur's name, like, close to as many times as there are minutes in a typical episode (so far). Why does he need to say Arthur's name that much. Why is he like this. What's wrong with him (/affectionate)
its like a vocal stim for him lmao, and i havent even gotten to the most egregious episode yet... (part 4)
i only have the data from the first half of the episodes, but i counted the most in episodes 4, 5, and 12 so far

Just wanted to say you're doing hard but honest work harvesting these stats and I respect the dedication 🫡 absolutely comical seeing how often john says arthur's name numerically
thank you 🫡 dw john says arthur's name an EGREGIOUS amount of times in upcoming episodes, hes not stopping anytime soon
im gonna make some graphs at some point, bc yall need to visually see just how many times he says arthur's name, its SO MANY even compared to arthur's swear count lol
