coach v and coach jumin who are best friends still obviously but have completely different ideas about coaching and have constant competitive squabbles 

yoosung the genetically gifted but kind of “meh whatever” up-and-comer who gets his ass handed to him when he finally competes against the big boys and realizes that he needs to get his act together if he wants to win 

has been trying to get jumin to coach him for years but he’s refused up until now because he KNOWS yoosung hasnt been taking it entirely seriously

saeran who skated for a few younger years but hasn’t competed since he was a teen and basically quit skating publicly after a fight w/ a rival but still skates beautifully and practices in secret

707 the rabid groupie (mostly of zen) who has the most popular fan account on twitter and constantly pokes at saeran to go back to competing, KIND of saeran’s coach since he doesnt have one, but he also obviously does not know how to coach

zen the uber popular “makes this job look easy” idol but has anxiety freakouts before every competition because if he isnt the best then the world will end and what if he spent less time x and more time practicing? and his coach v who literally has to force him to take breaks and spend time with friends so he doesn’t work himself to death

MC who’s just been skating casually and jumin starts coaching her and he insists on competing and has 100% no confidence in it until tha boyz

I keep reading about how it’s selfish to want to be monogamous because monogamy supposedly involves monopolizing a person’s time and “keeping them all to yourself.” The implication is that everyone (except for needy battle axes) wants more than one relationship but that a combination of societal pressures and battle axe partners force naturally non-monogamous people to be monogamous. While I know non-monogamous people can end up in this situation, I don’t think it can possibly be true that everyone actually *wants* to be in multiple romantic and/or sexual relationships.

If I ever feel strongly enough about someone to consider a relationship, I stop feeling much of anything for other people (besides friendship). My desires don’t open up again until something goes wrong in the relationship or I know it’s likely to end. In that sense, being monogamous for me is less about wanting to control what someone else does and more about personally wanting only one partner and preferring a partner whose desires/interests work similarly to my own.
