2nd week over and done with and we've covered the command line, setting up the environment, Git/GitHub, Ruby, Testing with RSpec (TDD/BDD), had talks from about 4 separate groups and a lot of laughs along the way (oh! And don't forget the stickers!) That's quite a lot. The amount I've gained in two weeks is immense and I can only hope to increase my knowledge and understanding further over the the next ten and I cannot wait. 

As few may know, I've developed some iOS apps and websites, however I never had the tools to make them great, I never knew refactoring or the signs of good design, the understanding of version control alluded me and I thought GitHub was a place to find sample code. FULL STOP. To gain this amount of knowledge is a credit to Makers Academy and the process they have implemented.

This isn't to say that it's all rainbows and unicorns, no. I said to Evgeny, "sometimes you just want to throw your MacBook out of the window", to which his response was "as long as it's your own". But it can really be frustrating, especially when you can't understand why a piece of code is returning an expression you expected or how to implement a solution. With that's said, the answer is simple, to ask for help. We are spoiled for choice: the material on HackPad, Google, the teachers and your neighbouring Maker.
