“Oi, gremlin are you alive in there?”
The banging on the stall door and he narrowed his eyes, hunched over the toilet as he kicked the door with the back of his foot. About to speak, but the bile rising in the back of his throat cut him off as he pushed the bleached locks of hair out of his face, emptying his stomach once more. The sounds of choking on stomach acid and liquid splashing into the toilet digesting even himself as he tried to catch his breath. Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand and opening the door to the stall to be greeted by the guitarist.
“Why the hell did I agree to drink with you? You sold your liver to the devil with how much you had. Or your liver is planning to revolt against you. I’d kill you too if I was your live and you put me through all that hell.” His face pale in comparison to Die’s smiling drunk one and he walked over towards the sink to splash water on his face, trying to regain his composure and color back in complexion.
“Aw, come on. We needed to celebrate tonight. The crowd was great and bigger than the last live. You can’t avoid everyone for ever, you know.”
Eyes narrowing as the vocalist shifted in his position and stood straight up, grabbing paper towels to wipe his hands before dabbing the beads of water off his face. “You’re not the one that got questioned the most for their age. Tch..” His face paling as his stomach turned into knots once more and he pulled the long bleached hair back into a pony tail in case he felt the need to once more empty the contents.Though he did not feel there was nothing left but stomach acid at this point.
The sudden arm around his shoulders and the drunk red guitarist leaning on him with a big grin. “Such a moody gremlin.” Moving to pinch his cheek lightly. “Don’t worry, you’ll grow some more and be such a man and the women will not be able to handle you in a few years. For now, you can be my bitch…”
The sudden groan from Die as Kyo landed his elbow hard into the elder’s stomach. “Eat shit, you drunk.”
Releasing himself from the drunk, who he knew all too well would forget everything that would happen in the morning and he moved to exit the bathroom, catching a last glimpse in the mirror. His face round, cheeks still holding the chubbiness as people labeled baby fat and the long hair gave way to more softer features then he cared for. Yet, this was what visual kei was. For now at least. He had bigger plans.
The sudden cry of his name and the arm once more him as they were walking back out onto the streets. “Come on, Kyo. I was only kidding. These mood swings are what make you our vocalist. Besides…it was fun to celebrate tonight ne. Even though now I believe you that you really do not handle liquor well.”
The vocalist glancing up at him, seeing the smile on red head’s lips and he shook his head with a faint smile. “Yeah…and beating the shit out of you makes my day. Stop calling me gremlin and you might have less bruises.” Pausing at the cross walk and he nodded his head softly. “It was…let’s keep going as a band, so we can continue.”
Feeling the sudden presence in his face as a grin grew bigger, growing annoyed as he lightly pushed him away. “You’re too clingy when you’re drunk. Go home.” Waving at him as Kyo crossed the street and he glanced out of the corner of his eye seeing the guitarist still carrying that stupid grin, wondering to himself in twenty years where they would be.
Would he still be moody and beating up on the drunk who would be grinning as he walked away?
Stuffing his hands in his pocket, he put his head down as he headed home, head swaying with each foot step and regret rising as he realized just how far away he lived. Drinking would never be him.
