What’s changed? 60 years later and we’re fighting the same battles, because they were never truly won. Schools are more segregated now than in the 1940s. Black and brown children are being grossly underserved and then blamed for the state of their situation, and white aggression towards African Americans is still being unaddressed and unchecked by a majority. We are better than this, so we need to show it. We have a man in office deepening chasms and generating chaos, but we don’t have to allow his evil to rule us.
