The Horseshoe Bend Trail was an easy hike, but with a couple of challenges: - The main path was partially destroyed by the last heavy rainfall a couple of weeks ago. - Few bugs on the trail. - It was my first hike after 40, so I was more tired than usual. Great view from the North Fork Nooksack River and the Church Mountain. We saw a Red-breasted sapsucker from the woodpecker family bird.
