Barbara stood outside her former teacher’s door, fidgeting with her bouquet of flowers. She was sure how she was supposed to feel about Mrs. Fries. Her father would prefer she stay completely away from the Frieses. Mr. Fries was a convicted killer, no matter how noble or tragic his reasons sounded. 

Logically, Barbara understood her father’s concerns. But she could separate the husband from the ballet teacher she had so admired since childhood. Why did she have to give up a role model because of her husband’s actions? 

Mrs. Fries moved with incredible grace. It was easy to see her as the principal ballerina of the Gotham ballet she used to be. 

Barbara had wanted to be her. 

my opinion on;

character in general: Nora is one of those characters that is actually more viewed in past tense than present tense. Mostly because we view the after affects of her condition. We view Mr. Freeze, who is very much the result of the loss of Nora. Or rather, the want to have her back. She’s that one puzzle piece that you get that makes you sort of go ‘Oh, right, he was a good guy but he wants to have her back...’. So there’s a sort of usage of having her as a ‘catalyst’ or even as a version of irony for the situation, since she’s a bit of ‘good’ that serves as a reason for the evil to exist. ( Good cannot exist without evil, all that jazz. )how they play them: Given that there was never any actual movie that had Nora but the ...train wreck that was Batman && Robin ( you can’t tell me that it was memorable for being good ... ). You give her a lot of life && you give us that chance to sort of see what made her so wonderful. I think you do a fantastic job of taking a character like Nora && having her canon but also your own character at the same time. the mun: Is very wonderful && friendly. Easy to talk to && has ideas to offer that makes it easier to really plot things out. It’s not one-sided to do the work which is nice && I’m definitely excited for our thread between Nygma && Nora in the nolan!verse.

Does your character have an accent? What does it sound like?

There’s the Baby Doll speech pattern, which I think I’ve gone into detail about before, but as for her genuine speech… This is where I struggle - I’m not from America, so a lot of the accents sound pretty much the same to me? The closest accent I’ve found that really matches up is the generic New York accent, and even then I’m not 100% sure if it’s right. Feel free to jump in and let me know if any of you can figure it out.

How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?

She has the whole ‘I hate myself but fake it ‘til you make it’ schtick down pat, but on top of that there’s a genuine feeling that she’s better, if that makes sense? A lot of that comes from spending years in a position of some power over helpless assistants and crew members, but honestly it’s something that was ingrained in her as a result of her upbringing. All that practice, training, things no one else was getting, and somewhere along the way that got mixed up in her head as meaning she must be better. So that’s stuck around as a subconscious notion in spite of all her self-loathing.

Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has.

this is so ridiculously vague op like suck a duck

1. Blushes to the extreme, her whole face goes bright red.2. Never sucked her thumb, even when she was a kid, despite how much she’s mocked for it by other rogues? But they won’t ever listen to her on that point so she’s kind of let it be for now.3. If there’s a little wall or barrier or whatever next to a path, she has to walk on it, balance be damned.4. Has absolutely zero problem with mess anywhere except her desk. Put anything on that and it’s open season.5. Tends to just drop everything if she gets an idea - she’ll sit there just staring at the wall for about an hour if she’s stuck and trying to puzzle something out.
