When you’re trying to grab a moment alone on Valentine’s Day but your kids have other ideas…

HAPPY ROBRON WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!

It is truly amazing to see how far these two characters have come. Through multiple trials and tribulations, they stuck through it all and became stronger. The love they share is truly everlasting and will forever be cherished by them both. While the road ahead might seem rocky, there is always hope that they will reach their dream of being together forever and having a large loving family of their own.

“SEB!” - shouted Aaron from the kitchen as he packed his son’s bag - “YOU’RE GONNA BE LATE FROM SCHOOL!”

“We can’t have that.” - smiled Robert when he heard Seb running down the stairs - “Oi! What did I tell you, no running on the stairs, we don’t want another trip to the hospital, do we?” - Seb just smirked with that mischievous smile that reminded both Robert and Aaron just how much Seb looked like his father.

“I wanted to say goodbye to Teddy.” - he said. Teddy was his favorite toy, Aaron bought it for him years ago, and even though Seb wasn’t a baby anymore, he still loved playing with it.

“I make sure that he’s gonna wait for you on your bed when you get home, okay?” - said Aaron, ruffling his hair.

“Come on, get your shoes, you don’t wanna be late on your first day, ey?” - said Robert.

“You’re gonna take me?” - asked Seb. He knew there was a bus, because he’s seen the other kids last year and the year before, but he didn’t really want to go by himself. It never occurred to him that he’s too little to take the bus on his own, his dads would never let him anyway. 

“Yeah, we will. Daddy Aaron’s gonna pack your bag, then we can go. You’re not nervous right?” - asked Robert as he picked up his car keys. They talked about school, about what’s gonna happen, Seb met his teachers, and it looked like he was fine with the whole thing. Plus Isaac will be there, and them two were inseparable these days. 

“No, I’m excited.” - he said happily, and both of his dads were relieved.

“Come on then, let’s go.” - said Aaron urging him towards the door. Seb rushed out, while Aaron looked after him, with a small frown on his face.

“Hey, you’re okay?” - asked Robert on his soft voice. He knew it was hard for Aaron, to watch Seb go to school. Him not being a baby anymore was hard for them both. 

“Yeah, it’s just... he’s growing up so fast.” - he sniffed.

“DAAAD!” - shouted Seb and they chuckled at how impatient their son was. 

“How about we finish that chat we started last night.” - whispered Robert as he gave a kiss to his temple. 

“You sure? You really want it?” 

“Of course I want it. Look at Seb, he’s brilliant, I’m sure this kid would be too.”

“Okay then, let’s just get through this first.” - he said thinking about Seb.

“Alright, after we dropped him off, we’re gonna come home and talk.”

“What about work?"

Yeah, that’s the thing. It ALWAYS seems to be Vic who gets these shoe horned wildly out of character lines.

I accept in a soap that everyone is going to get a “woah, where did that come from?” kinda line or minor story from time to time. Of course they are with how much TV the soaps produce these days. It’s just going to happen.

But it just ALWAYS seems to be Vic who draws the short straw on really bungled and messed up lines, right back to 2014 if you think about. (Robert v Andy on Jacks wedding ring. She had some howlers in there.)

4. Favourite story-line? I loved everything from Adam’s escape, leading to the reunion in February. It was perfect. We knew it was coming but they still packed it full of all these delicious moments like the day before Valentine’s where Aaron watched Seb and then Valentine’s itself, and even Robert excitedly running over to Victoria a little bit after to tell her that Aaron may be into him again. It was the best of times, and the bestest of times. Just pure television gold. 

16. Favourite mutual I love you?This changes and varies, but lately, it’s been the one that came in the middle (or towards the end?) of the big fight in January 2017. It’s this great moment of both of their issues, or namely, Aaron’s big issues coming to the fore and Robert doing everything in his power to convince him that he chooses him, that he loves him, and Aaron hearing that and responding, but nothing is resolved. Not really. I dunno. I just think there’s a beauty to that shared I love you. It’s an acknowledgement that the love is there even though there’s so much baggage and pain swirling around them at that moment. 

28. Favourite family Robert relationship?Me. This is tricky and sad. Because I love, love, love him and Sarah and that’s probably my favourite, but it underscores just how lacking Robert is in that department right now. (Aaron aside.) There’s no one I would call Robert’s “family” beyond maybe Doug. (I do enjoy him and Liv a lot, and thought they had a lot of good and needed growth. I wish the show had done more with that.) 

31. Best Dryan moment?That video of them doing promo for the wedding episode. It felt like a glimpse into their regular dynamic. I was happy for them and for us. 

46. 3 songs you now can’t listen to without thinking of Robron?Because of canon: “The Love That we Stole” - Bear’s Den, “Make You Feel My Love” - Adele, and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” - Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons. 

Because I’m me: “Think of England” - Bear’s Den, “Fast Car” - Tracy Chapman, and “Ultralife” - Oh Wonder. 

Summary:
