omg...this is going to be tl;dr because I have such strong opinions on this!! 

I’ve never agreed so much lmao especially since Zhang Xiao Fan’s personality is so annoying? It’s partly due to the scripting but also partly bc the actor glosses over his acting. ZXF talks on and on about justice but never does anything but go over to Bi Yao. (When will he have more than the same two expressions...) But Jing Yu and almost all the side characters (and their actors) got an intense amount of hate/slander bc Li Yifeng’s fans claimed that they have more screen time than the main role. Which is complete bs because Jing Yu didn’t appear in a single episode for like 18 days and it wasn’t like until the mid 40 episodes that his screen time wasn’t an average of 5 to 10 minutes an ep. I’d recommend you watching 50 to 54 because Jing Yu does exceptional in those episodes. (Watch 49 I guess to compare his and zxf’s reaction to the same situation it’s so apparent...) Don’t bother with 55, it was so bad omg

Drama sounds like a mess. Doesn’t help that the leads aren’t particularly good actors either.

Drama plot does feel like it's going haywire, hopefully it pulls through and doesn't go downhill. Naww I like the leads!! I really adore Melvin and Amber has improved heaps, even though the characters she plays are all quite similar. Although I'm very meh about Aggie's acting.

Exactly!!! So 厚臉皮 and ironic. Like it's expected and all based on the plot. But I still get so annoyed. Episode three pissed me off a bit though. With the whole moving into the same house. Basically ripping off The Fierce Wife
