Gonna be headin' off for my trip y'all Hopefully everything goes smoothly!

I know this is like,,,, Totally random. But I just wanna say something- I'm a horror junkie. I LOVE horror. I love all types of horror. Whether it's body horror, or like- Horror that gets into your mind. Psychological horror and that stuff. Thrillers, Slashers, etc etc. But like- One thing I love is when horror like... Doesn't show you a monster right off the beat. It gives you that false sense of security. Makes you think like "Oh. It's just really atmospheric!" or "So there's actually no monster in this??" Like- I genuinely LOVE a good horror game that doesn't heavily revolve around some sort of monster or like- Scary entity. A killer, some sort of strange disease or something. While I do also love those types of tropes and such. The stuff that REALLY gets me is when you can't SEE the monster. Or if the game/film/book gives off the IMPRESSION that something is happening. Something is following you... But there's nothing straight off the bat. You're not instantly told that some horrible, grotesque monster or alien or person is coming off you. Luring you into a false sense of security, making you feel like you're going to be fine. When in reality, you've been hunted down this entire time. I honestly think that just makes the reveal of the like- Monster or alien or killer or whatever just all that more terrifying. Because once again: You weren't EXPECTING something to be there. You weren't EXPECTING to be suddenly chased down or abducted or something. You were expecting to be okay. To make it out alive. But you didn't. You were never met to get out of a horror game/film/story alive unless the creator wanted you to. I have no fucking idea why I wanted to type all of this. But I did. My mind is just filled w/thoughts that I never know how to get out to be in person. So, writing it all down somewhere seems to really help me. I don't really care if people do or don't read this. But I hope some people agree with me on this. And if you don't, your opinion/thoughts/feelings are totally valid. I just- I just like getting my thoughts out there.
