Aristotle : Laws Of Logic
The wise wake up. They choose reason over custom.
-Bodhidharma.
Aristotle is mistakenly named as the inventor of logic, he however contribute an extensive amount of work in this area. Both know as the Laws Of Logic or the Laws Of Thought are as follows:
Law of identity.
Law of noncontradiction.
Law of excluded middle.
Law 0f Identity
This states that everything is itself on the basis that nothing can be separated by it's physical self. Anything that is natural to one action, is the same as a copy of that action. Mathematically this is described as A = A. Example: violence is violence.
Law Of Noncontradiction
This states that something cannot be something while simultaneously the opposite of it self. Example: violence cannot both be both productive and counter productive.
Law Of Excluded Middle
This states that something is either true or false, it cannot something in-between. One maybe able to express something in an ambiguous manner, but that ambiguous statement can neither be factual or in factual. Example : Violence cannot be acceptable on some occasions.
