missionaries really love any chance that gets them prolonged contact with someone, yknow. and she had actually gone to their services a few times, as well as let them inside when they were going door-to-door, so i figure she was looking like a promising new convert.
(she took us to one of the services too. the main things we remember are: 1) having no fucking idea what to do with communion, and 2) learning holy shit a lot of our high school is mormon)
iirc she had them help out repainting a section of the outside wall of the house. she’s also a little old lady so that probably helped.

i think it’s cause of the references; im trying to get myself back into the habit of finging a pose, doing a gesture of it, and then using that as the first sketch!

25. Do you like to draw in silence, or with music?
I prefer to draw with noise, all the way!
with writing there’s only a Certain Kind of music that i can listen to without getting distracted (vaporwave, 90s styled hip-hop instrumentals)
but for art, anything goes! usually i play random billboard hits, youtube mixes, or reviews!
27. For digital artists: how many layers does a typical piece require?
usually around 10-12 layers, but it depends!
usually, my process is two layers for rough sketches, (shape building, then rough outline), a layer for inking, a layer for flats, and a layer for shading!
but i have a set of these for each additional character i end up drawing, PLUS if i want to add highlights and other effects, that racks up the layers as well.
