I think I'm not dating because I don't care about the formalities or the 'relationship'. I just want things to be real. Real means just being honest about your feelings... but not all the time. Say it once, make sure it's understood, then move on and continue with your independent life.

What I find the issue is for me is that my independence is easily misinterpreted as dishonest behaviour. I don't always call or text or any of that stuff and it's because I want to let a guy do his own thing (and to let me do mine). When he's passionate/excited/frustrated - then I want to hear about it. I don't really need the details. What often happens is that people will think I'll cheat, so they cheat. Or they think I'm leaving them, so they leave me. Or they think I'm being difficult - so they become difficult. It's just... it's just the way I do things.

I imagine that I'll need to make some changes to my style eventually. Sometimes people need more than I am able to offer. In that case, I don't even know what to do. I know what I want though. Honesty, integrity, and focus in my partner. I want to work hard and know that he's working too. We don't always work together, but when we do... it's unreal.
