not a lot going on with oscar, but it was a little obvious how sympathetic to ironwood he was this ep, it feels like. he’s quick to note that there is no way ironwood can have the upper hand in this situation, and while ruby’s like “we wanted him to be more open right?” oscar also notes the importance of dispersing the info in the right way. 

it’s interesting to note that oscar is pretty much helping ironwood keep secrets while he was like “:/” at ruby for doing so in the last ep, so it’s obvious where his trust lies. OR he might just be coming around to the idea of keeping necessary secrets. ( he probably didn’t think ruby’s secrets were for the greater good. it’s a blurry line. )

obviously he trusts ruby, but he also believes in ironwood as a adult figure that can Do Things. notably, oscar hasn’t been through the fall of beacon and he hadn’t seen the atlas airships thrumming up Uncertainty in the first few seasons as well. ruby, understandably, may be a little cautious in forming bonds with ironwood.
