#silmarillion #fingolfin #nolofinwe #pony #acrylic gouache #theyre still working on domesticating horses #so enjoy my goofy looking animals #there will be another horse girl fingolfin dump of art soon because i have been drawing a lot of ponies #and yes i mean ponies literally. i am still deciding at what point in his life he has a proper tall horse and if its just a freak accident #where one of his ponies got too tall.#the way i drew rochallor i think was quite borderline. either small horse or large pony #so it might be that he remains pony only. only short horses for this king of the noldor.#this is of course in contrast to his brother who certainly makes use of tall horses. and his sons (some of which are maybe too tall and big #for a pony even if they wanted) but i think the greatest betrayal is his children being swayed to the side of tall horses.#yes 2/4 of his children are tall and aredhel loves high speed horse races and its not really personal. but to him its personal.#whats wrong with the short horses. what is wrong with the beautiful dependable short horses that have served him without fault for centurie #oh important narrative notes: the first image is his first pony ever. this is the first pony he can call his own and you will look at it #and you will say “wowwwww nolofinwë is that your pony? what a beautiful pony! and so gentle! did you do the braids yourself?”#thats the correct interaction with that image thank you #elves have been learning to love and lose mortals for a very long time. its just that many of them did not care so deeply for the mortals #that came before the other children of iluvatar (and the dwarves). or did not count their care the same as that for another speaking thing.#anyways. nolofinwë has lost many friends. long before most other elves would start counting.#art
