I love my phone
I have proudly owned the same phone for 7 years now. It's a dumb phone, I can't use it for What'sApp or the internet in general but I can use to smash in faces in case I need to send an effective message.
I have made the unfortunate error of promising myself to only replace it once it's actually beyond repair. Much to the dismay of my digitally connected peers one can very easily buy a replacement battery for it as well as some cases to protect the floor in case of gravity. I have never owned a smartphone nor will I subject myself to the battery induced anxiety that comes with one. I'll hang on to this thing, it's been yelling at me all week that the battery is low and to charge it.
I think the problem is however that when smartphones come to a point, in terms of battery life and sturdiness, that I'd actually use them, the world has moved on leaving me in an eternal state of outdatedness.
