Does anyone love David as much as we do? π We love David, and we always say yes to David's books! Let me start by saying that the fist time I saw "No, David!" I though he was the creepiest character for a children's book. It was at Lennon's old preschool and the teacher was reading it to the kids, they were glued to the book, and some could even "read" the book, because it is so easy to memorize! π Then one day I saw the book at @barnesandnoble in the bestselling for children section and I grabbed it to read it myself and that's when I fell in love with this little round-headed mischievous kid. π First my feeling of him looking creepy went away after reading the inner cover, where #davidshannon tells his story of how "No, David!" was born. It is based from a book he wrote and illustrated when he was a child. The fact that he respected his childhood drawings is everything to me! β¨ Little David is a kid who likes to try things and gets in trouble because of his innocence while exploring the world. The pictures invite you to expand on the dialogue and talk about what David is doing and explaining why he shouldn't be doing the things he does. It is also a great book/book series to talk about feelings. Lennon laughs so hard at the silly things David do! He loves him and I do too! So when I saw David's bundle in the @scholasticreadingclub catalog I knew I had to get it! #bookworms #nodavid
