donāt forget though that birth control pills have to been taken consistantly for a month before they are effective (doctors have to recommend being on them for 3 months to be 100% effective but this is usually longer than necessary)
I think they are inactive for up to one month, like if you take them on the first day of your period, theyāre relatively active from day 1 (because you take them at the beginning of your cycle). What they do, after all, is preventing an egg from beingĀ āreleasedā during ovulation. The process of the ovulation begins on day 1 of the period. But yes, if you take them during ovulation, obviously they wonāt work that month, and I think it might be different from one pill to another? Itās definitely important to consult a doctor about the information relevant to the brand youāre using. I donāt think this was important to her specifically, because she plans to also use condoms, but this is definitely very important info so thank you for reminding me :)Ā
