#noctis morte

Marion, also known as Noctis Morte is actually the newest goddess of Nightmares. There have been several before her, all which have been killed by Noctis Star Lock. Out of all  the other “Mortes” before her, she’s the most sympathetic and retained her former self.

Marion is the only nightmare god that Star Lock didn’t kill off.  As I said a little recently Noctis Morte is actually a broad term Star Lock uses to describe all nightmares, though it’s more commonly associated with the nightmare gods or goddesses. Specifically Marion. (Kinda like how Star Lock is what the dream hub world is called but I usually shorten Noctis Star Lock’s name to just Star Lock or Star)  She’s not the only sentient  being that can control nightmares, but she is the only Noctis Morte at the moment.  I love Marion though. She has... some rough circumstances, but she actually is far more emotional than Noctis Star Lock.  She’s caring and even helped Rock a few times. I could probably go on and on about her, but We’d be here a while.  I’m just going to say, Marion deserves  love, and candy.   Maybe someday... she and and Rebecca can be friends... ha ha. uwu

First off. Uh Rose might be getting a bio soon, that way I can explain why she’s so divergent.  (I also need to make a bio about Noctis Star Lock, considering my little lore segment  is about her a little. So as it’s been stated uh  one time before..  Star Lock calls all nightmares, Noctis Morte. Not just Marion.  Lately I’ve been thinking about that bit. Marion after all came pretty late into existence. becoming Noctis Morte at about 558 AD. It clearly... Wouldn’t make sense for her to be the only Noctis Morte in existence, or at least not the first one.  So yes. We  thought we had the Dream Walker verse all figured out, but nope. There have been more than  one Noctis Morte before, and Marion isn’t the first.  She is... the only one in existence now though.. The rest were killed off by Star Lock. Though there are rogue nightmares that still infect dreams. I’m still kinda figuring out the whole Noctis Morte thing in general.. like Why Marion was chosen specifically.. Perhaps... it was.. just Fate..    Have I bored you all yet? Probably, but I will figure out my continuation verses eventually!

Noctis Morte: The first Dream Walkers... two girls... I didn’t want to kill them... I never wanted to hurt them.... I thought they were dreams... like the nightmares I create... I didn’t know... they would actually die...  Maybe... Noctis Star Lock is right... I am a monster....  How many have to die... before one of us gives up?..

Alright. First OC I’ll talk about is a certain nightmare goddess, that everyone I talk to, seems to love for some reason. Noctis Morte, name meaning Night Death. Really that name was given to her by another oc, but that’s another story. Noctis Morte is an oc  that everyone I talk to seems to think she’s an adorable cinnamon roll. Even though she has killed people, caused people to lose the will to live, fed on the negative feelings of people during the Black Plague, and tried to flood the real world with nightmares. This... cinnamon roll isn’t too too bad though. She was made this way. She was pushed away by her only friend and now seeks to get revenge. Still, as bad as she sounds, Morte is quite merciful, only directly killing two Dream Walkers. Sure her nightmares have killed some others, but she did try to tell them to stop. She hurts people mentally because she feels that she has to, not that she wants to. She still has mercy for humanity, despite being pushed away all her life, and even killed by them. Yeah, she probably has one of the most tragic back stories out of any of my OCs. I would go into more detail, but there is so much on my blog about her already from the  four paged story about how Morte became Morte, to the brief little bio.

The motives for Morte are kinda the same, kinda not, but she has real reasons other than just wanting to be a sadistic maniac.  Now she doesn’t necessarily want to hurt people, she does it because she feels that she has to. Negative energy makes her stronger. The stronger she gets, the more of a chance she has in taking over Star Lock.  It’s a revenge motive. Star hurt her and she wants to hurt her back.  Now the Dream Walker Story isn’t as Black and White. Both Star and Morte are in a moral grey area in different ways,  but I honestly feel that the main antagonist of the story is Noctis Star Lock now. It switched.
