　　　two  strumming  between  her  thighs  and  ten  scrabbling  at  his  chest  and  shoulder ;  they’re  both  fully  clothed  inside  the  austere  purple  of  shadowheart’s  tent  and  she’s  promised  to let  him  play  with   the  artefact  for  ten  minutes  if  he  can  make  her  come  in  under  sixty  seconds.    she  was  smug  about  him  being  stupidly  overconfident  but  he  wasn’t  exaggerating  about  how  quickly  he  could  vibrate  his  hand.    he’s  holding  the  spiked  icosahedron  fifty - five  seconds  after  their  deal  is  made.    shadowheart  sits  bewildered,  thumb  between  her  teeth,  excuses  tumbling  out.   “ .. will  you  shut  up ??   that’s  what  happens  when  you  don’t  self - pleasure  with enough frequency.   aren’t  you  around  .. forty, or so ? ”  there’s  an  argument  that  bites  into  three  minutes  of  his  allotted  time.    astarion  cuts the bickering short with an impatient heave.  “ look,  my  point  is,  you  really  ought  to  loosen  up  a  bit.   get  to  ‘know  yourself’ better.   and  gods,  you’re  right  —  this  thing  is  hopelessly stuck .. ”
