Apple, pecan, pumpkin, blueberry, and sweet potato. Quinn looked over the cooling pies in front of her, only just now realizing that what equaled an entire pie for each person that’d be attending Thanksgiving dinner the following afternoon, was probably not necessary. But she couldn’t help it. Tomorrow would be the first holiday that the Fabrays - at least some of them - and the Puckermans - again, at least some of them, would be celebrating together. She figured that if their mouths were full, the opportunity for their mothers to voice the many opinions they had on the state of their relationship would be less frequent.
Quinn heard Puck come in, recognizing the sound of shoes being kicked off, the footsteps coming closer, before they paused and turned in the other direction, as he remembered to put his shoes neatly against the wall, instead of leaving them in the middle of the room. The familiar sounds made her smile despite her stress, and by the time Puck entered the kitchen, she was waiting for him with a fond gaze in her eyes. “Hey. Was the store busy?”
