When you're a kid you always want to use your creative, funny, or mysterious email handle that you spent days researching and developing. Finally you find the perfect handle. And you use it for years chatting with your friend on AIM, using it on Neopets, and making your MySpace. Now that you're grown you creativity is taken away and you use your name for your email address, your time online is spent skimming facebook, trolling on Reddit, talking about how horrible 4chan is (even though you never used 4chan / always used it). Your childhood was stolen from you bit by bit. Your creative flame reduced to a spark then a burnt wick. Your joy for exploring turned to a mundane task that is an obligation because it involves more than sitting and being thoughtless. Then at another point someone dried your tinder and sparked your interest. There was a reason for being and you felt renewed. But because your creativity and joy for exploring was murdered all you can think to do is be pseudo activists online - an imaginary place where your voice is lost in an endless SCROLL DOWN of monotony and cat videos. So the only people you're appealing to are the others who already feel the same way. And you change nothing. Now imagine being aware of this. Today. This moment.
