Background: UnkiBen spent his youth being raised from within the confines of a Gek research facility. The small compound was a substation unlike any other. It was designed to raise Geklings to maturity, while training them for specific tasks and occupations upon their coming of age. The majority that left the facility would go on to work as Merchants, couriers and some of the even more promising Geklings were offered employment in the council's and governing bodies, either as staff or in rare cases, positions of great responsibility.

Ultimately those Geks who did not meet the standards, or rebelled against the facilities protocols, were evicted.

UnkiBen was one of those Geks, who chose not to be restricted in his employment.

The eviction process is harsh. Hooding the individual is common practice, then the Gekling would likely be transported to a distant system and released like a wild animal on a desolate planet, with no means of fending for themselves.

From a young age, UnkiBen learned how to survive, with little to no experience in dealing with life threatening situations such as this, he prospered, he fought, he created, he lived. The life was simple, stranded on a freezing planet on the outskirts of the Euclid Galaxy, he just survived, discovered and learnt. Eventually he mustered enough resources to propel himself off of the planet and toward an orbiting Freighter. From that moment he worked on the freighter to repay them for simply taking him in.

Today: UnkiBen is very much alive, surviving in some system... somewhere.

Deep within the Euclid Galaxy, UnkiBen has began to document his travels and adventures in the hope that his life would amount to something more than just a list soul in the bewildering expanse of space.
