NMAT: Should you a, retake?
The candidates who aced NMAT deserved to be congratulated for such exceptional performance in the exam. A score of a minimum of 215 or more with a well-rounded performance across all sections is guaranteed to get you a call from top B-schools. The others who just missed making the score can concentrate on revamping their strategies: 200-215: You almost made it. But, getting short of getting a few questions right has resulted in you in achieving a slightly lower score. Practice harder in the section that pulled you down and do well. 190- 200: Do a mini-analysis of what went wrong strategy and time-wise. Work on selecting the right kind of questions that play to your strengths and only answer those. Practice a lot of mock tests and keep gauging your performance from time-to-time. Lots of scope for improvement exists and if you make it, you land in one of the big B-schools. Below 190: Content and strategy have gone wrong and the only way to work around them is to identify your weak areas and practice them accordingly. You might want to revise a little and then give mock tests and on the basis of your performance in them, decide your future course of action. Whichever bracket you fall under, be sure to believe in yourself and give another attempt in NMAT by GMAC as it gives a generous 3 attempts to do well and ace the exam.
