To say Lily was nervous was an understatement. The last time she attended an event, it was attacked by The Faction. She had witnessed so many terrible things that night and the feeling of impending doom still lingered. The city's dampening spell, which prevented her from using her hybrid abilities for protection, didn't help either. But as Hen's strong yet gentle arm wrapped around her waist and PJ's steadfast yet tender arm draped over her shoulders when they returned from the bar, Lily's nerves began to ease. Hen handed her a drink and she murmured softly, "Thank you.” Glancing down at the glass in her hand, she caught a glimpse of her royal blue gown and smiled, thinking about how all three of them were dressed in blue for tonight's ball.
