sybill never had a portrait go wrong. perhaps she had photographed someone too near death, or inhuman, but despite all of that it never had interfered with her final result. she looked down at the developed photograph and then back to the young man in front of her now. a frown pinched at the corners of her mouth. her brow furrowed. when she looked at the boy now she could see the fuzzy outline of the figure that trailed him. it was slight, but became more pronounced as sybill became aware of him. “ did you know you’ve had something attached to you ? ” she asked carefully, turning the photo around so that he could see for himself. a photo of the boy with two heads, one much like his own face, and the other grinning.
