So many responses to my question of how you became fans! Thank you all for replying!

Sweet! Use Somebody was THE song for me too, even though I’d known & liked them from the YAYM singles onward already. I was just too much into another band at the time to *really* get interested in other bands.

Early on, cool!
nishr24 said: 2008, Sex on fire was on the radio and the first minute i thought it was an old song probably because of Caleb’s unique voice. I liked it a lot so I started to listen to their old stuff and I became a fan.
Haha, back when I only just liked them, I always thought Caleb was much older than he really was cos of his voice.

It’s a killer song..!

Indeed it is!

Woohoo, go Mum!! This is one of my favourite responses, cos it’s just so cool! Do you go to gigs together?
freyja87 said: A boy I liked was playing them in the car very loud, soon as it became music and not just sound (it was very, very loud) I heard Caleb’s voice and was hooked. It was Aha Shake :)
He must’ve played it *really* loud! Then again, when cars are in passing as they have loud music on, it can be difficult to decipher. (Often utter shit though, or at least that’s the case in my neck of the woods.)

Another early one!
imabadartist said: My first boyfriend loved them and played them all the time so i became addicted and still am
So, the boyfriend didn’t last, but the musical love did. 😉
stspillman1 said: I didn’t listen to them until Only By the Night, but quickly went back to their old stuff. Been hooked ever since.
I think most ‘newer’ fans go back to the old stuff. It’s always a bit embarrassing to hear so-called ‘huge’ fans say that ‘their first album’ was amazing, only to find out that by first they mean OBTN.

Always nice to have friends with the same taste in music, makes finding a gig-buddy a lot easier!
shandi88 said: Fan after I heard because of the times call me old school
Such a great album; I’m not surprised you loved them after hearing it. Funny enough though, when it was released a bunch of the totally old school fans hated it cos it was so different from YAYM & ASH..!
