Lady Vengeance Character Aesthetics [3/18] - Nirvatha
âWho I am is where I stand, where I stand is where I fall.â
The crew of the Lady Vengeance:
- Balini (Karpaga): A young fairy mage who works as a tavern maid in her home town, wishing for the freedom to be herself in a world where people like her are shunned and hated.
- Vasavi (Kalki Subramaniam): First mate on board the Lady Vengeance, Vasavi is a bitter, hardened fairy who doesnât easily forgive and never forgets.
- Nirvatha (Padmapriya Janakiraman): Nirvatha is an honorable, merciful captain who takes in outcast mages along her travels, saving innocents and punishing the wicked alongside her sister Vasavi.
- Kaitiaki (Danielle Hayes): Kaitiaki is a powerful mage, a beautiful siren, and deeply in love with their partner, Asmaradana. Many, many years ago, Kaitiaki was cursed to be mute and exiled. Now they serve as navigator aboard the Lady Vengeance.
- Asmaradana (Sharifa Amani): Mara is the greatest flirt to sail the seven seas and her swordsmanship rivals that of almost any other pirate.
- Kanda (Poyd): One of the two translators on board Captain Nirvathaâs ship, Kanda was once a young noblewoman in good graces with the King and Queen. At least until she ran away with her lover and became a good-for-nothing pirate.
- Alanis (Karen Olivo):Â Years after losing her husband, Alanis became the translator on board Captain Nirvathaâs ship, eventually leading her to meet the stunning Lady Kanda.
- Vasanti (Rekha Sharma): Vasanti is a very talented healer and an incredible fighter. She doesnât speak of her past and instead looks to the future, hoping it will be brighter than the trials she has faced.
- Evera: Once an orphan without a home, Evera is now the head carpenter onboard and the fierce lover and protector of her partner, Moree.
- Moree (Everlyn Sampi): Moree learned early on in life to fight for survival. They are the shipâs greatest and most cunning warrior, adapting fighting techniques and weapons from dozens of cultures to create their own unique and potent fighting style.
- Jarah (Fahad Albutairi):Â Many years ago, Jarah was a poor musician without a family or a future. But when Nirvatha allowed him to join the crew, he became an apprentice and trained to be the best surgeon and healer the ship had ever seen.
- KawÄkiu (Janet Mock): KawÄkiu left the life of a kingâs warrior behind for her husband, Jarah, and works instead at Vasantiâs side as a healerâs apprentice.
- Ilde (Stephanie Beatriz):Â Ilde discovered that piracy and the sea called to them more than a life of solitary travel and simple thievery. Once a part of the crew, they became the most adept and skilled gunner onboard.
- Needa (Negar Javaherian): She was in love once, but lost the man she planned to marry in a tragic accident that she never speaks of. Now a soft spoken, deeply religious elf, Needa works as the second carpenter on board the ship.
- Galeru (Magnolia Maymuru) & Wala (Leila Gurruwiwi): Galeru and her sister Wala are two sirens, bound together by their love of the ocean, their home and its people, and their great fondness of adventure.
- Pakika (Courtney Eaton): After losing one of her fins - and one of her feet as a result - Pakika finds it difficult to fight and now serves as shipâs cook instead of as a soldier.
- Rohe (Keisha Castle-Hughes): A mage with the power to harness the ocean itself, Rohe has a vendetta against a specific member of the crew and will go to any lengths to have her revenge.
