Just now getting into playstation stuff at 23, my PS2 broke and I was considering getting a PS3. Looking into the history of the PS3, it's launch was eerily similar to the Switch 2. Only difference is that the amount of consoles aren't lackluster. (and some others)

PS3 and Switch 2 graphics and hardware barely upgraded. Congrats! They were both standard upgrades that everyone expected for the bare minimum of tehcnology advancements.

Barely, if at all, any original games that can't be found on the previous console
Previous console is cheaper and you save more money with the features (debatable with the switch 1 tbh, but an argument could be made that online isn't necessary)

Ps3 games were always $60 unless discounted. Switch 2 games are $80 (HOLD YOUR HORSES I WILL GET TO INFLATION)
When you bought a PS3 game and console, you actually owned them (I will always laugh at people who say u can own digital games).
TBH The switch 2 cant even play dvds or bluray (This isnt really a fault, it wasnt made for that, but im leaving it because it sucks)
On a switch 2, there is a button where you have to pay money to use it.

The difference is that, at least in the US (if you shame me for not knowing anything about this in your country, well? sorry? I'm not god I cant know everything. So dont expect me to :p) in 2006 if you had a job that payed minimum wage you could probably buy a PS3 and a game without selling an organ or two. Nowadays, many many many more people are poor despite having muiltiple jobs. It's not reasonable for a nintendo fan to buy a switch 2 with a game while they can't even pay their own water bill with 3 jobs. (and while yes, there are more ways to make money now compared to 2006, that still doesn't change the fact that people are still not getting paid for their work AND the fact that not everyone can sit in an office or buy temu hauls for tik tok live streams. I mean who tf would want to do that-)
And, of course, Nintendo is a multi billion dollar company. They're not going bankrupt. Also, when the WiiU came out you never said anything like this, did you? Probably not, and if you did your lack of smarts didn't change much over the decade did it?...
